Job Summary :   Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to neonates, infants, children & adolescents.  This role involves diagnosing and managing a variety of pediatric conditions, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of patients.

Responsibilities :   Provide expert-level clinical care to infants, children, and adolescents in line with current pediatric guidelines and Penda Health standards.

Perform thorough history taking and comprehensive physical examinations tailored to pediatric developmental stages Diagnose and manage both common and complex childhood illnesses, developmental issues, and chronic conditions.

Develop and lead individualized, patient-centered care plans that incorporate medical, nutritional, and developmental interventions, while ensuring continuity of care through appropriate follow-up and active caregiver engagement.

Provide emergency and acute care support by stabilizing acutely ill pediatric patients, guiding the team in pediatric emergency protocols, and initiating timely referrals to higher levels of care when necessary.

Educate parents and guardians on child health, nutrition, hygiene, and preventive measures.

Work closely with general providers, nurses, lab, pharmacy, and other departments to ensure coordinated care.

Mentor and support clinical development by guiding providers in pediatric care and sharing knowledge through CMEs, case reviews, and feedback sessions.

Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, and comply with all relevant legal and ethical standards related to Clinical documentation, patient confidentiality, and privacy at Penda Health.

Review pediatric clinical outcomes, participate in audits, and help shape strategies to improve child health services across branches.

Requirements :   At least 1 year of post-training experience in Pediatrics, either as a full-time or part-time consultant.

Master's in Pediatrics and Child Health A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) Ability to work independently under minimal supervision Application Process : Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis!
