Job descriptionDeveloping and implementing effective sales strategies. Managing and leading the sales team. Oversee the region's profit and loss account by analyzing performance and adjusting strategies to meet financial objectives. Overseeing customer relationship management processes. Identifying emerging markets and market shifts. Monitoring and analysing performance metrics. Meeting sales targets set within the department. Reporting on sales results to senior management. Staying up-to-date with new product launches and ensuring sales team members are on board. Closely monitor customer debt. Ensure compliance with contracts and credits. Prospect for new markets in the construction industry. Develop new partnerships with construction companies in the region. Ensure strong visibility with local stakeholders, such as consultants or architects
The Successful Applicant
A successful Commercial Manager - EA should have :
- A degree in business administration or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales team management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- An ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics.
- Strong negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude.
- Significant experience in commercial management, ideally in industrial, residential, or commercial sectors, preferably in East Africa.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and / or techno-commercial experience.
- Strong team management and profit and loss management skills.
- Expertise in stock management and debtor management.
- Ability to work in a multicultural and international environment, with a good understanding of commercial issues in East Africa.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a strong results orientation.
- Proficiency in management and commercial tracking tools, as well as financial analysis and reporting.
- Previous experience in a similar role or in managing large-scale projects is a plus.
