Medical Records Clerk - PAD

JOB AD : Medical Records / PAD     Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for Medical Records Clerks / PAD staff to partner with us in providing medical services to UN sponsored Kenyan Peacekeepers at a field hospital in Port Au Prince, Haiti.

This will be a deployed, rotational contract offering various rotational deployment cycles.  The team will be based in a secure, purpose-built camp and hospital facility in Port au Prince, Haiti, and all service delivery requirements will be conducted within the confines of that facility.

Aspen Medical will provide a Level 2 Field Hospital with EMS, Pre-Hospital Care, Surgical, Diagnostic and Laboratory, and other ancillary services.

Qualification Requirements Completion of an accredited post-secondary program providing at least two (2) years of theoretical and practical education in Health Information Management, Medical Records Administration, or Health Data Technology after high school education.

The training should include medical terminology, health data coding, data protection, and record management systems.

Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in medical records or health information management after certification or licensing, preferably in a hospital, clinic, or mission environment.

Must have current and valid certification in Health Information Management, Medical Records Administration, or an equivalent qualification recognized by a national health authority or professional association.

Training in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, data security, or EarthMed (or equivalent UN medical information platform) is desirable.

Must hold a relevant professional license or national certification authorizing practice in health information or records management.

The license or certificate must remain valid for the duration of deployment.

In lieu of formal licensure (where applicable), a letter or certificate of good standing should be provided by the competent national authority.

Language Proficiency :   Fluency in Haitian Creole and / or French is highly desired.  English proficiency-a minimum of Level B 2 is required This position will be a 1099 contractor, with a fixed daily rate while on rotation.
