Tax Consultant

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tax Consultant with over 10 years of expertise in corporate and individual taxation, compliance, and advisory services. The role involves guiding clients and organizations through complex tax laws, ensuring compliance, and identifying opportunities for tax efficiency and savings.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide expert tax advisory services on corporate, international, and personal taxation.

Lead and manage tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities while ensuring compliance.

Prepare and review tax returns (corporate, VAT, PAYE, excise, and individual).

Interpret complex tax legislation and advise management on potential risks and opportunities.

Support audits and defend tax positions during tax authority reviews and inspections.

Ensure compliance with local and international tax laws (IFRS, OECD, BEPS, etc.).

Collaborate with finance and legal teams on mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring transactions.

Train and mentor junior tax staff, fostering professional development.

Stay updated on changes in tax regulations, policies, and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or related field.

Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent.

10+ years of professional tax consulting or advisory experience.

Strong expertise in domestic and international tax laws.

Proficiency in tax software (SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, or specialized tax platforms).

Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial modeling.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
