Mechanical Technician
About the job
- Customer (otogas or bulk) complaints handling
- Otogas Planned Maintenance
- Reading and understanding P&I Drawings
- Reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints and manuals
- Mechanical and pipe welding works – Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) mainly but may do others
- Constructing and joining structural components
- Fabricating and assembling of pipes, pipe fittings etc for modifications.
- Hydrotesting / Pneumatic testing of pipelines when needed
- Inspection of mechanical spares delivered to ensure they meet the quality standards
- Adherence to HSE requirements at workplace
- Daily / weekly activity reports preparation
- Supervision of maintenance contractors
- Preparation of preventive maintenance schedules
- Control of Otogas Maintenance Spares
- Any other duty assigned by immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
A Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalentExperience in Autogas dispenser maintenanceExperience in equipment and plant maintenanceExperience in LPG installations, especially in Autogas, is an added advantageExperience in other welding is an added advantageKnowledge of handling welding, lifting and work at height tools and equipmentMust have skills
Detail orientedAbility to work independently / without supervisionAbility to be on standby to respond to complaints 24hrsAbility to work under pressure to meet strict timelinesAbility to work in extreme weather conditionsGood to have skills
