Roles and Responsibilities :

Strategic Planning & Service-Oriented Execution

  • Operate as an internal marketing agency, receiving briefs from BD teams and other stakeholders and translating them into strategic, action-oriented marketing plans.
  • Develop and implement integrated marketing and communication strategies that drive client engagement and brand visibility.
  • Maintain a service mindset, ensuring all marketing initiatives are aligned with business needs and delivered efficiently.
  • Brand Management & Positioning

  • Act as the firm's brand custodian, ensuring consistency in visual identity, messaging, and positioning across all platforms.
  • Uphold a market-leading presence, ensuring brand differentiation in the professional services sector.
  • Content & Thought Leadership

  • Develop client-focused content, including whitepapers, reports, articles, and multimedia, to position the firm as a thought leader.
  • Work closely with partners and subject matter experts to translate legal and business insights into compelling marketing assets.
  • Digital Marketing & Performance Analytics

  • Oversee the firm's digital presence, including website, social media, email marketing, and digital campaigns, ensuring measurable engagement and leads generation.
  • Implement data-driven marketing, using analytics tools to optimise campaign performance, track engagement, and enhance audience targeting.
  • Report on digital ROI, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Event Management & Client Engagement

  • Plan and execute high-impact client events, webinars, and industry engagements that strengthen relationships and support BD objectives.
  • Manage end-to-end event logistics, ensuring seamless execution and measurable outcomes.
  • Implement event success metrics, tracking attendance, lead conversion, and post-event business impact.
  • Public Relations & Media Management

  • Manage external PR and media relations, ensuring strategic placement of thought leadership content and firm announcements.
  • Build relationships with key journalists, industry publications, and media partners to enhance the firm's public profile.
  • Internal Communications & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies, ensuring employees are informed and engaged with the firm's initiatives.
  • Foster a strong internal brand culture, ensuring marketing aligns with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with lawyers and practice groups to identify and coordinate marketing initiatives.
  • Metrics, ROI Tracking & Performance Reporting

  • Establish clear KPIs for all marketing and communications activities, ensuring alignment with business and BD objectives.
  • Develop and maintain performance dashboards, providing leadership with data-driven insights on marketing effectiveness.
  • Track ROI across marketing channels, continuously optimizing efforts based on analytics.
  • Team Leadership & Operations Management

  • Lead and mentor the marketing and communications team, ensuring a high-performance, service-driven culture.
  • Act as a liaison between BD teams and marketing, ensuring clear briefs, execution timelines, and performance tracking.
  • Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation and maximum ROI.
  • Experience and Personal qualities :

    The following experience and personal qualities are preferred :

  • Proven experience in a senior marketing and communications role within a professional services environment, preferably in the legal sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; a master's degree or relevant professional qualification is desirable.
  • At least 8 to 10 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably within the legal or professional services industry.
  • Experience operating in a marketing agency-style model, with a strong focus on receiving briefs, executing campaigns, and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and project execution skills.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and content development expertise.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, and CRM systems.
  • Data-driven mindset, with experience in performance measurement and ROI tracking.
