Job Purpose / Summary
The Aga Khan University (AKU) is building an AI-enabled product to address the challenges of low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The office of the Chief Data Innovation Office (CDIO) is seeking a multidisciplinary contributor to drive product storytelling, content creation, project coordination, and product marketing strategy in close collaboration with data scientists, designers, engineers, and academic stakeholders.
The Product Marketing Associate is a multi-pronged role that combines content creation, project management, and product marketing. The incumbent will shape compelling content aligned with the GenAI product’s capabilities, manage internal workflows to ensure timely delivery, and amplify the product’s voice externally through digital and strategic marketing. This role will directly support user adoption, stakeholder trust, and visibility for AKU as an AI leader in the Global South.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Collaborate with GenAI developers and researchers to translate features and insights into accessible, engaging formats (e.g., use cases, tutorials, blog posts, demos, scripts).
Support sprint planning, maintain task boards, and ensure cross-functional alignment across science, engineering, and UX.
Develop messaging frameworks, launch communications, demo scripts, and product briefs for GenAI capabilities.
Create digital and multimedia assets to communicate product value across channels; track performance metrics.
Plan participation in strategic events, prepare messaging, track outputs.
Monitor reach and resonance of all messaging using metrics like NPS, traffic, shares, citations.
Relevant Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Commerce, Business Administration, Product Design, or related; Master’s a plus.
Relevant experience in an equivalent role is a plus.
Experience building compelling content.
Experience with AI / tech products, especially GenAI, NLP or data tools.
Exceptional writing and storytelling skills.
Familiarity with content analytics, stakeholder engagement, and design collaboration tools (e.g., Figma, Jira, Notion.
Understanding how users experience analytics and the ability to simply complex concepts into consumable bite size pieces.
A good understanding of analytic Gen AI products and their go to market models.
Know how to build the full product by producing webinars, guides, in-app messaging, educational videos, educational resources, and demos.
An ability to define and prioritize initiatives while working cross-functionally, and managing stakeholder relationships.
